I can't believe I didn't even think about it...... TODAY was our 11th anniversary and WE BOTH FORGOT!!!!!..... Hubby's mother called and asked what we did for our anniversary and our moths dropped..... we weren't even thinking about it!!!....
I know what we are doing Friday... goign to the Japanese Steakhouse in Amarillo for dinner!!!

I must say congratulations on 10 years!!
This must be the year for forgotten anniversaries. DH and I missed ours by about 3 weeks. DH's friend and daughter came into town. We hadn't seen him in about 15 years. He's been married and divorced in that time. We were sitting outside watching the kids swim and enjoying an ice tea when he said how long have you two been together. We both looked at each other... then both of our eyes started to bug out and we realized our 21 anniversary had past. Neither of us remembered. We don't by gifts and just usually go out to dinner and just spend time together to commemorate the day. Whoops!

We used to forget ours all the time, then about five years ago when oldest DD met her second husband, he had two children from his first marriage and their birthdays are on DH's birthday and our anniversary. Now the grandkids never forget things like that so we usually get reminded for several days in advance. It's the number of years we forget and have to figure up. Let's see............2008 less 1974........oh yeah, 34 years this year.

LOL April! I hope you had a nice day even though you forgot the anniversary. That happened to us aswell on our 5th anniversary. My Mom was very sick at the time and we fell into bed emotionally exhausted shortly befor midnight - while I was drifting off to sleep - it suddenly struck me like a thunderbolt!!! I flew out of bed and shook DH awake just to tell him there's only a few minutes left of our anniversary! LOL Funny enough, that one now stands out in my memory :))

How funny that you both forgot! People always joke about the man forgetting the anniversary, etc. This time it was both of you....oops! :-) I hope you guys had a great time celebrating, even if it was a bit late.
