I got "took" on ebay

Well it happened. I sent my money order and waited for delivery of a Close to my heart hostess set Item #8128534537 . Now she won't respond to email even. Guess I am out, thank goodness it was only $6.10. Could have been a lot worse. I guess all I can do is give a bad remark on ebay feedback. How do you know who to trust? DON'T BUY FROM: Nina Abruzi 3135 N. Indian Springs Road San Simon, AZ 85632

I have to say, I made a couple of other purchases from other people, and everything went very well. Lynn

REPORT HER.... Dont let her get away with this..she will do it again and again and thats not what ebay is all about.. They have a section that you can report the problem and believe me it works...i have done it and i also have been told not to sell something also..They are there to help all of us and even though it wasnt much it still adds up.. Dont let Nina think she can pull the wool over everyone and get away with it.. Thanks for the heads up on her...i will pass her along.....

I'm so sorry this happened to you. My husband got taken recently too. BUT we've been buying from ebay since 1997 and this is the first time. And to boot the guy left bad feedback on my husband also his first. My husband is out the money and out the product. So, I'd say don't lose heart with ebay. Follow their instructions on how to report the problems you're having with this person and keep enjoying ebay. There are far more reputable people on their as not.

Hi Lynn,

I've bought and sold items on Ebay and before bidding on an item I look at a persons feedback rating. If a person has a high positive feedback rating but you aren't getting good results from them (lack of communication, slow to ship) perhaps they are having some sort of emergency?

One time I had some items listed on Ebay and ended up in the hospital for an emergency appendectomy right when the auction listings were ending. Fortunately I was able to give my husband instructions on how to email people and I was able invoice, collect payments, etc. a couple of days after my surgery but it made me wonder about people in a similar situation that don't have any help at home.

Hopefully the person will come through and ship your item to you soon. It is disappointing when we put our faith and trust in people and they don't come through.

Don't get too upset, I won an auction for a religious icon and the seller wanted a money order. I used click to pay to send the money order, emailed him and informed him that the money order was sent and waited for the icon. About 10 days later he posted negative feedback, my first with a feedback score of over 400. I was upset and emailed him and he said he never received the money order. It was only $9.00 so I explained that I had sent him one and sent the confirmation from click to pay with his name, address and the amount sent. Hoping that this could be settled I then went and sent him another money order by mail and waited. Someone had cashed both money orders, I never received the icon and all my emails to him went unanswered. But one bad apple hasn't spoiled that for the most part I have been satisfied with ebay sellers.

How long has it been since you won the item and mailed the money order to her? Don't leave negative feedback until the last possible moment. Also, report her to Ebay as a bad seller. What were her feedbacks like? I never bid on anything from anyone if their feedback is less than 98%. To me, 2 mistakes out of 100 is too many.
