I got "took" on ebay.

Well it happened. I sent my money order and waited for delivery of a Close to my heart hostess set Item #8128534537 . Now she won't respond to email even. Guess I am out, thank goodness it was only $6.10. Could have been a lot worse. I guess all I can do is give a bad remark on ebay feedback. How do you know who to trust? DON'T BUY FROM: Nina Abruzi 3135 N. Indian Springs Road San Simon, AZ 85632

I have to say, I made a couple of other purchases from other people, and everything went very well.

I had this problem once, turned out the seller was in an auto accident and I got my item (plus many other things as an apology) the following month when she came out of hospital.

But that was rare.

If you paid with PayPal, they will refund your money ASAP and then take care of the offender.

We have only been totally burned one time out of probably 300 transactions. I did have a couple of very unpleasant experiences before getting my items a couple of times, but finally they came through. All in all, the folks are very honest on Ebay.

Pull her information and give her a call. It's been less than two weeks since the end of auction; the shipper does technically have 30 days from the date of payment to ship the item.

Her recent feedback *would* indicate a problem, but people also tend to be influenced by negative feedback--you see one bad one and you suddenly think that the lack of communication means bad things for you, so you give them a negative as well, etc. Next thing you know there's four negs when most of them haven't yet given time to complete.

So anyway--pull her info, give her a call. The rest of her feedback looks good, so she's probably honest, and if not, well... A call from you might either help her identify the problem--or scare her into shippping NOW! :>

Lynn, I know Nina from the CTMH boards, and I can't believe that there isn't some logical explanation for this! She doesn't seem the type to do this sort of thing, a very above board person. I will contact her and see if I get a response...I just can't believe that she would do this to someone! I'll let you know what I hear, Arleen

Lynn, Apparently Nina recently had surgery and is recovering at home...she may be unable to use her computer, and if it happened suddenly she may not have had time to fill anyone in on her auctions. Please have a little patience and see if it works out for you.

If Nina or anyone who sees this post wanted to, s/he could have you suspended and/or banned from ebay for posting her contact information.
