I had, over the years, tried to learn how to knit several times with people trying to teach me. I never could get it....or retain it...but still wanted to learn. So over Christmas break I bought a book and taught myself and fell in love. I am knitting all the time now. Anyway, my idea to make two of my crafting loves go together are to make a knitting journal of sorts. I plan on taking pictures of my finished projects and then journaling the pattern. I thought how neat it would be to have one like this from my grandparents...be able to see what they created and then make it myself using their pattern. I made Tori a scarf, then a dog sweater for Jade, then a purse for Tori....then created my own pattern for a purse, now am working on a baby blanket. Fun! :-)
