Is anyone else subscribing to the knitting lessons, knitting with short rows by Iris Schreier
So far I have received three lessons and knitted three samples, one I did twice with different yarns. Lots of fun to create. Good also to try out in the 6x6 exchange.
Els, I signed up after you recommended it to me awhile back. It only took a couple of days to get the first lesson. But I must confess that I haven't tried it yet. One of these days, I'll get to it. I'll just have to stop bringing knitting books home from the library so I have more time to knit instead of read.
Jan, I understand totally. I have cotton sitting on my weaving bench for tea towels, to learn more about shadow weaving. On my front beam of the same loom....LOL.....I have recycled silk saries, black cotton and very fine mohair to weave a scarf for a friend of my daughter in Toronto. I am knitting a pair of rompers for our grand daughter, and just bought the last Easy knitting from Famly Circle, and there are so many great ideas in it, that everything else has come to a stand still. To many great ideas, and no self disipline ..... help...!!
Jan, I now use audio books from the library when knitting and cleaning, but "regular" books when reading "in bed"!LOL! (it isn't easy for DH to get contact with me, when books are engaging!LOL!) AUD ;-)
This looks interesting and I tried to sign up but when I hit submit it kept going back to the sign up screen. Is that what it is supposed to do? Kristine
