Anyone know of a source for Koigu .....

LESS than the $11.00 per skein Patternworks quotes?

TIA, Noreen

That's the MSRP, unfortunately.

Ebay. I got 10 skeins for $75. It was still a bit pricey for me but I just couldn't resist.....

Ram Wools is sellling it (the Painter's Pallet) for $9.50 US/ball or $85.50 for a bag of 10, but then you have shipping on top of it.

type in "Koigu" and it will come up, about halfwaydown the page. They have both Painters Pallet and KerstiShelagh

Shelagh, thank YOU! Their colour selection isn't as big as Patternworks, BUT they DID have the colour I wanted! (And, FYI, their shipping was no more than Patternworks, so I DID save) TY, TY, TY, and hugs! Noreen

... thanks EJ... unfortunately, I've had a run of bad luck in the past with eBay, so went with Shelagh's suggestion. TY anyway! Hugs, Noreen

TY, Katherine, I forgot all about Smiley's... however, as Shelagh pointed out, they didn't have Koigu! Hugs, Noreen

Yes, I ordered some from the site Shelagh recommended, NO, I can't afford it, but this is a gift from my much loved cousin, who said I needed a treat! Noreen not that I have to explain myself, but there, I DID, lol!

(re Ram Wools)

(waving & smiling) - you're very welcome! I love sending business to Ram Wools - they have a wonderful store and great sales people. I'm just a fan - no other interest. I could be wrong, but it seems to me they have more colours in the store.... maybe it's just all the bags of Koigu piled on the shelves - I love that yarn and one of these days I will make something else besides a scarf out of it.

Waving back! This is a treat I normally could NOT do right now... but one of my closest cousins sent me a visa gift card and told me to GET it already, isn't she an angel?? I've bookmarked Ram Wools, and am adding their link to various groups, forums, etc! Hugs again! Noreen

also some Koigu and a fun fur I bought to make a scarf for my DIL in thered/black, and a pic of my Rockstar scarf made from blue toned Koigu andblue fun fur. The blue scarf is a little too bright in the picture.. it's alittle darker.http://tinyurl.com/5be9ghttp://tinyurl.com/47vmn

Oh it is the most lush beautiful merino handpainted yarn that makes socks that you never want to take off your feet! And wonderful lace work also. I recently made a pair of socks for a former co-worker who although she knits a LOT, has not made socks yet and until this time, had not even owned a pair of handmade socks. She picked out the Koigu, and by the time I finished with them, I knew I needed a pair out of it for myself! :)
