How would a shark tooth look? We found some triangular black things. At first we told ourselfes this must be shark teeth but now we are not so sure anymore...

I think I've been there a couple of years ago with my host family. Back then we visited a relative of them who lives in Sarasota and I remember them talking about this beach... But I'm not exactly sure which beach it was we went to.

They are black. I think you may have some. Go to google and click on image and then type in Shark Teeth and you will be able to see some images of them. Hope this helps.

That's cool. It's a very beautiful beach. I love it!! :) Just went there a couple days ago. Would share some pictures with you but it was in the dark LOL :)

Yes they are black. I just saw a Discovery channel show on that beach and they aren't current shark teeth they are old teeth. I want to say fossil teeth, but I don't think that is correct. Probably prehistoric would be more correct. I remember there was a man that lives there and he had a huge jar full of these black shark teeth.

I looked at some pictures at google. But I'm still not sure. It might just be half a tooth. But I will cherish it as a shark tooth from now on even if it's just a stone :)
