We went to her doctors appointment at All Childrens on Monday and it looks like she will be on medicine until she is at least 6 years old. They are hoping that she will grow out of the reflux so that they don't have to do surgery.
So she still does have the reflux. He said that it is between a 5 to 1 and 1 being the best. Well, she is at a 3-4 with this reflux thing. We go back and see him in Sarasota somewhere in 6 months. They will do another ultrasound to see how she is improving. It is possible that we will change medicines then as well and then 6 months after that change medicine again. He said that the bacteria can get used to the medicine and then she can have another UTI. So it is very possible that she will get another one but we hope that she will not.
We also have to go to our pediatrician and get Abby checked out. He said that even though she has not had any problems or symptoms that she could very well have the reflux. Its hereditary. so it had to come from one of our family members.
That's about all that I know right now. There is probably a lot more but can't remember everything. I know that DH knows everything. We were all in the room but he was talking to the doctor and asking all the questions.
