layouts ready for pictures!

I made a few lay-outs without having the pictures, I think this is the way to do it for me! I always have the pictures in my hand to design the lay-out and it screws me up, LOL! These are not my designs but I think I am going to scrap this way, add the pictures in after! They look so professional! Oh, I did alter the card one a lot from the idea I saw :)

formatting link
or if that link doesn't work it is under "Picture ready" in my web-shots acct.

Those are really neat, Lori. What a great idea to have the pages ready. I keep on telling myself that I should just stop buying scrapbooking supplies and just take my pictures with me and buy what I need to make the single lo which is almost the opposite of what you've decided to do! But of course, I've got enough supplies here to last forever. I am thinking of putting up

2 or 3 really big lot auctions on ebay. Maybe I can get Kenda and Deb to help me put it together. I really do need to get rid of some of this stock and am more than willing to do it at cost!

I actually did my first 2 "picture ready" LO for the store where I work on Christmas Eve. (It was a very quiet day)(LOL)

It was fun to scrap with somebody elses supplies!(LOL)

The few pages that I completed this year I used what I like to call the 'just in time' inventory method. I have a LSS near my home so I can run up there to get supplies for the photos that I'm working with. I think the 'just in time' method will eleminate the need for tons of organizers, etc.

I am buying more tools/stamps/inks but paper and embellishments/eyelets/etc I will get per project on an as needed basis. I think I'll be more productive. Time will tell...

I'm also encouraging my husband to switch to the just in time method. Our garage is full of 'crap' (When it's his belongings, it's crap. When it's mine, it's stuff! :-) ). We can stop warehousing boxes of office supplies, nuts and bolts, phone wires, cable wires, paint cans, brushes, unused lawn tools, etc., etc.,

This might work for me. We travel in a motorhome and I always take all my scrapbook supplies. Needless to say, my supplies are all very compact. If I could ever make up my mind ahead of time as to what to scrapbook, I could eliminate dragging the stuff in and out. Thanks for sharing.

Marcia, I have a garage and a place under the house that sounds just like yours and when you think of the coest of hauling all that stuff from FL to AR and now back to FL it is mind boggling! I think that Goodwill will just have to send a truck and haul a lot of it away!

You know I wonder sometimes about that when I grocery shop and such, it's not like I cant run 1/2 mile to the store! Could do that with scrapbooking too, hmmm no, must have copious amount of clutter LOL! Good idea though, makes sense!

Thanks! I have joined others and this one is the only one that has been "practical" for me. Plus it gives pictures of the lay-outs and step by step directions with what size to cut what paper etc. Several of the others - the paper and such are way too artsy or flowery etc. to use for my family. Love this one!
