What I did this weekend...

Hi Guys

I finally got started on my Mom's Wedding Album. She got remarried two years ago and I decided to make her a Wedding Album for Christmas this year.

The scanning went all Coo-Coo on me and the pictures looks "warped" after I stitched them digitally, so I took a picture with the digi - cam aswell just to give you a better idea, but of course, that picture is not so detailed.

My Mom had a small wedding and there's not a lot of pictures, so I might have to be creative and alter some of the photo's in future to fill up the album. The first Double LO is of the church. It's at:

And of course I had to use some of those scraps for another Christmas Card :)

It's at:

-Or if that does not work - in my Webshots account under Mom's Wedding Album and Lynne's Christmas Card Album. Thanks for looking :))

Hey, Judy. Great job getting started on the album. So far it looks great. I love that border you have on your DPS. I want to put together a wedding album for my new sister-in-law for Christmas. I just need to get started! LOL The Christmas card is cute as well.

Very nice, Judy.

How about a page of genealogy for you mom's side of the family & one for her husband's, then a page showing the 2 of them joined?

Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure she'll love it.

The album is shaping up beautifully! Great idea taking pictures of the church to add to the album. I saw the candles on the pews and they were SO pretty, but thought that would never be allowed here... I don't think. Seems people can barely not catch themselves on fire when the candles are at the front of the church. Sure made a gorgeous picture though... of candles on the pews.

Beautiful LO. You're off to a great start. Lynne's right. The candles are beautiful. I can just see the grandchildren blowing them out as they pass. And DD would set the place on fire just walking by.

That's a great idea, thanks Alicia. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Thanks Lynne. If you think of it - it could be dangerous - fortunately there was only a few adults at her wedding and my niece (who was about 2 at the time and mostly in my sisters arms).

Thanks for looking Crystal! I have to get started now, because there's only a few months left till X'mas (can u believe it?? - where has the time gone??) and I still have to mail it to my Mom. I'm a very slow scrapper aswell and only get time over weekends for scrapping.

Looking forward to see your wedding album project :)

LOL about blowing out the candles. My kids did that too... it would be Christmas or maybe even Halloween and I walk into the room and my candles would be out. Thinking they went out themselves I'd relight them. About the 3rd time around it occurred to me the kids were blowing them out. STOP THAT I SAID!

Thanks Cathy - I bought the borders at a small crafters store - the owner of the store made them herself and therefor they were quite inexpensive, but I also loved them, the moment I saw them and bought a few in different colours.

Thanks Deb! I hope she does. The border on the chocolate brown cardstock made me think of chocolate cake when it was done! LOL
