Left Over Ribbon Swap

Hi!

M-C has posted all the information for the Ribbon Swap on our website(

formatting link
). Look under on going. Please post to this thread if you want to participate or have any questions. I will e-mail to confirm your participation. Repost of details that are on the website: Registration Period Ends: August 6th, 2005

Submission Date: August 26th, 2005

Re-Mail Date: Sept 3rd - I will mail before the 3rd if I receive everyone ribbons early

Materials/Details:

This a leftover ribbon swap. I would like each set of ribbon to be individually bagged. Each bag should contain one 1 yard length of ribbon, unless you are sending in the 1/8 inch ribbon, then it's 2 yards. If you have more than 1 yard of one ribbon, just cut it down to

1 yard lengths and send in more than one bag of it. So if you have 6 yards of something, you can send in six baggies with 1 yard each. I hope this all makes sense!

Please label each and every bag with your board name and real name. This is very important to do, as it will help me better avoid giving you back your own ribbon. Once I start sorting it can get very confusing very quickly so the more you can do to help me prevent this, the better.

Please include a return envelope, with your address already written on it, and with the same amount of stamps that it took to mail your item. Please include a few extra stamps just in case. Any unused stamps will be returned. Please make sure your mailer is big enough to hold your ribbons and then some, remember other people may have used bigger baggies than you, so the return trip may be bulkier.

so my question is we can send in 2 baggies and get 2 baggies back?

Another question is what is the limit of baggies we can send in?

Tammy,

I would like to participate in this swap. Please use the following to contact me: snipped-for-privacy@yahoo.com Make sure you remove the the "spam". Thanks.

Count me in on this one! Is there a limit, or a recommended number, of bags to send? And should all bags have the same type, or all different, or does it matter? My email is at kristara at comcast dot net if you need it.

Mel K

Hi, Tabitha.

Good question. I tried to post this after I posted the original message but could not find my original message. (I am posting through google at the moment.) I didn't realize it went back under my original message.

You may send in as many baggies as you want, and you will get that many in return. If you have a lot of one kind of ribbon, please do not to send in more than 10 baggies of it (that's roughly how many people are in the swap) so no one will get repeats if I can avoid it. Please do not send more than 30 bags or less than 7 bags overall. Now, because of the nature of this swap I hope that everyone understands that you may get some repeats or possibly even something that you sent in, back. It all depends on the variety that I am sent. I will try my best to make sure this does not happen, but I just wanted to forewarn everyone!

The reason I said not less than 7 bags is it really looked like at least 7 people were going to sign up for this swap.
