Left Over Ribbon Swap

Jul 25, 2005 14 Replies

Hi, everyone.

I am checking to see if there is any interest in a ribbon swap.

Below is kinda the guidelines but can be changed if the group wants anything different:

I would like each set of ribbon to be individually bagged. Each bag should contain one 1 yard length of ribbon, unless you are sending in the 1/8 inch ribbon, then it's 2 yards. If you have more than 1 yard of one ribbon, just cut it down to 1 yard lengths and send in more than one bag of it. So if you have 6 yards of something, you can send in six baggies with 1 yard each. I hope this all makes sense!

More details to follow if there is any interest.

I'd love to participate in this swap. Sandy

I'd love to join this. I went through a ribbon collecting phase and have tons of it. And would love to collect more!

I'd love to join this swap. Just let me know where to send... ~~Yanya~~ :)

I'm very interested too. Does this mean that we send in however many baggies we have and you'll send us the same # of different ribbons in return? No set # to send in? I don't have much ribbon, but recently I've come to the conclusion that I sure do need more. lol

I am thinking along those lines. I am going to send M-C all the information in the morning regarding the swap. It should outline everything more clearly.

PS -- You never can have enough ribbon... lol!

Sounds like a plan...Has anyone heard anything about the Ribbon Swap? ~~Yanya~~

Might be interested in this swap. Would want more details on the guidelines.. Kind of confused which it is easy to confuse me LOL :)

I just now sent M-C an e-mail with all the information. As soon as she sends me a reply letting me know she has it up on the website, I will post it.

Tammy, I have a question. I have leftover (new) lavender satin ribbon and white lace from my DD's wedding. They are both 3/8 inch. Can I put in 1 yard of each in a baggie together instead of 2 yards of each in separate bags? That way everyone in the swap will get some. Sandy

Good question. For this ribbon swap the rule is 2 yards of 3/8 inch ribbon in a bag to make it equal for people who are sending larger ribbon. The 3/8 inch ribbon is cheaper than the larger ribbon so that is why I think we should keep it to 2 yards in a bag. I think it is really nice of you trying to make sure everyone gets a set of your ribbon though!
