Little update, prayer request

As usual, with the twins and life in general it's pretty hectic here, and unfortunately I missed my CCC February deadline. :-( I'm planning to double up (12 instead of 5) in March though-- but I have some medical issues I have to take care of. Nothing major, just several little things piling up--I'm getting a dental implant next Monday, plus I've got to have a combo surgery for problems leftover from the twins' pregnancy--hernia and bladder repair, and gall bladder removal, by laparascopy...and tomorrow I have to have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy to make sure it's okay to have the surgery--oy!

So I'm a little behind in my cards, but I did get a chance to go to a free store crop yesterday and get some work started on them--hard to do because I had the twins with me but the other ladies and the lady who's store it is helped with them, so I got a little break I normally don't get! :-) Plus after everyone went to bed last night I was able to work UNINTERRUPTED (LOL!) in my hobby room and got a boatload of organizing done and that felt good to do! Yay, me! :-)

Anyhoo, if y'all could put in a kind word to the Big Guy upstairs that all of this works out, I'd appreciate it! :-)

Thanks!

Carolyne in TX, with very little free time on her hands (and this morning my 8 y/o woke up with a high fever and has to stay home from school!! Yikes!)

Ahhh Carolyn you sure do sound like you've got your hands full. Prayers being said that everything turns out just fine.

Okay, could y'all add this? One or two days in the spring and fall I get SEVERE bad allergies due to tree pollen--guess what today is?!?

My eyes are already swelling shut and I've used half a box of kleenex (it's now 9:14 am) since I woke up at 7...fortunately the twins are feeling great and Maya, other than a fever and general blah feeling, are doing pretty good. I think I'll jump in the shower and wash any pollen out of my hair. Bad thing is since I'm nursing I can't take claritin or zyrtec etc. so I'm having to use this wimpy sudafed non-drying stuff, but hey, it's better than nothing!

Thanks again!

Thank you, Lynne! It got worse when Maya said she had a note from the office at school--she just got her report card last Friday saying she technically has perfect attendance this year (1 absence) and then we get this note accusing us of truancy and how we'll be fined for not sending our child to school/taking our child out for unexcused reasons-- it's a big mess, her dad and I are just LIVID and hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this.

And pity party for me, I have to be > Ahhh Carolyn you sure do sound like you've got your hands full. Prayers

Oh, Carolyne. Hang in there! You have a lot on your plate. Be sure to find time to rest in there somewhere. You don't want your immune system to shut down. Best of luck with everything. I have to have a colonoscopy done twice a year for my Crohns disease. They are never fun but it could always be worse. The hunger might be the hardest part. I always veg out the next day. =)

Oh my goodness! Why does it always work that way... when you're resistance is low things just keep going wrong. Yeah send dad down to clear up the note. Sometimes when I have to deal with school or the post office or whatever I tell who ever I'm working with you really want to check your attitude and be more polite, because if I have to send my husband down to resolve this issue it's not going to be a comfortable experience. You really want to work this out with me.

Healing vibes going your way and a great big HUG!

Carolyn I take Benadryl Sinus allergy medicine for my seasonal allergies. Are you able to take that? If I dont have my prescribed Allegra, that is what helps me. I sure hope things level out for ya with everything medical. It seems like its everything happening all at once! You poor thing!!! ((hugs!))

Today's the big day and I'[ve got your prayers sending up to the Lord, for today, for the surgeries *(oral and otherwise) as well as a very quick recovery. If anyone needs to recover quickly it' you... your life IS hectic!!!!

Thank you, Crystal! Fortunately, my immune system is super strong and it takes a LOT more than this to run me down! :-) Sorry to hear you have Crohn's! :-(

Hunger part didn't really bother me, I was able to have a liquid diet so I had broth and juice and did fine with that part! Didn't get a whole day to 'veg out' but a few hours of extra sleep did me wonders once I got home (before DH couldn't handle it any more, LOL).

Worked out the school stuff, turns out she wasn't counted as truant per se, the limit is 10 unexcused tardies, absences, etc. Plus every year the attendance starts over fresh, so there's really no permanent record of that in these lower grades (Maya's in second). The hunger part worked out well too, so I didn't have to deal with growling for hours, LOL! :-)

Benadryl and most other allergy meds do wacky things to my blood pressure and my thyroid meds, so I can't take'em--plus with nursing, you can't take anything to dry you up! Fortunately by the afternoon things settled down quite a bit.

Thanks, Linda!

Thank you, Melissa! I updated in another post--a very LONG post/rant! ;-)

But considering where my life was ten years ago, I wouldn't trade all of this for ANYTHING!! (I'd just had a miscarriage and was told in all likelihood I'd never have children...but God had other plans! :*)
