Hello all. I was a busy beaver at work last Saturday. Though we were busy with 8 runs, 2 of them working structure fires, one 100 gallon desiel spill I was able to a little bit of scrappin' done. I have posted them in my webshots under 2005 Layouts. The new ones start with tribute to Madeline. It has been a while since I did that one, I am just now ready to share it. Enjoy.....

I must say I was suprised the driver worried about that too. Though we have since discovered she's a control freak. Such as: DS #1 is 6'2" and can't sit completely facing forward, he must turn a bit, otherwise he can't fit his knees in. She writes him up for it every time she sees him siting just a little sideways. BTW he is the only one assigned to the seat! The principle told her to quit bringing in the complaints unless she had a legitiment complaint! LOL We made him wear the shorts in hopes he would get the "wanting to wear them on the head" out of his system. First he thought it was funny then he decided he didn't care for it. heehee, he hasn't worn them on his head since!
You got scrapping done in the midst of all that?!?!?!?! Wow....I bow to you!! :-) I haven't done scrapping in so long, I'm forgetting how to do it. My Nov. Challenge kit is still waiting for me to do something with it! LOL But your LO's look wonderful Kenda! Love the sanding on the pictures!
Hi Kenda! I took a peek at your layouts, and I don't know how you managed to get any pages done with so many calls! I'm impressed! I have always wanted to ask you what do the other firemen think of your scrappin' hobby? :-) I liked the military page, and how you did that transparency with the paint on the back...very cool! Madelines' page is an awesome tribute to her. I had to LOL at the shorts on your DS head, and I loved the title you chose for that page! That is too funny, and too bad for the bus driver that she can't take a joke! geesh, and I agree..if thats the worst thing that he does, she is lucky!

Very nice layouts Kenda, thanks for sharing :) luv Cec...xxx
GREAT LOs! I have that military paper and such to do something with one day :D I need to get some pics of Dh in uniform over here. Haven't had one since the change of command where we did a family pic on the parade grounds at campbell barracks. Ahhhhhhhh...
Anyways.... good going!
Susan
I love your layouts Kenda. I'm amazed that you finished any layouts will all those calls. Madeline's layout is a beautiful tribute to her.
The painting on the Military Ball page is a neat idea. I'll have to try that.
Why yes I did!! I have been putting together "page kits" then when I get a mess of them together I sit down and work on them. Still have about 5 to do! I thought the sanding worked well!!
To tell the truth they all gave me a hard time about it at first. Now when I bring in my bag they tease me about "moving in" then after a while they will come back and look to see how my "progress is coming along"! LOL too funny, they just want to see! I also quilt at the station and my Captain has asked me to do that at the dining room table so he can watch the "progress"! He really likes to watch?!?!?? Though I have walked away from working on a quilt top and if he's been watching me he will sit down and make a block or two; or if I'm quilting he will attempt to quilt! It's rather amusing to watch their reactions, many talk about watching their Grandmothers or Mother's quilt, wish their wives would.......
I got so many pages done because I put page kits together and not having so many choices (like I do at home) I was able to put them together quickly. Thank you for your kind words Linda
Thank you Cec!
Thanks Susan! Sounds like you need to do a LO.....and sounds like the family pic is the one to use......
Thank you Cathy. I too was amaze! LOL Madeline was a beautiful spirit (I was stunned to see so many people fill the funeral home. Well over 300 people attended, a mix of class mates, church members, neighbors, friends, family, so many people) She will be forever missed.
I read about painting one the back of transparencies somewhere (don't remember where) to better show the text. It worked out great.
I wanted to say wonderful layouts Kenda and what a nice tribute.. Great job!!
Thank you Tabitha. DS gets the LO and looks at it every once in a while. I know he will continue to miss her.
I need to get more scrappin' done. Actually I need to get pictures printed so I can do more scrappin'. I'm so far behind it isn't funny. Though as the saying goes: You are not behind, jump in where you're at! Guess I need to do that!
You're very welcome. Very much he will.
I just got some pictures printed. Hoping to go this Saturday or next to get some more supplies :) meaning baby embellishments. I think I have enough to get me started but I want to get some more of those prima flowers :)
