New pages added to my webshots

I uploaded a few new pages to my webshots today. Last night my 9 yr old DS and I scrapped together! We had the evening to ourselves, his dad had to work late. He saw me getting ready to settle in at my scrapbook desk, and asked me if I had any scraps he could make something out of. I suggested doing a page on whatever he wanted to. So, I showed him the scraps, and I made two pages, and he made a page featuring his favorite college basketball player on the Fighting Illini team. The ONLY thing I helped him do was cut the picture out of the newspaper. (I should have scanned and printed the picture, but I am low on ink for my printer...maybe I'll replace it later.) I am so proud of him and of how it turned out! :-) The funniest thing about this is....He is an all around good athlete, totally rough and tough boy, and a football junkie,(like his dad) ..and last night was Monday Night Football..and he CHOSE to scrapbook with MOM! LMAO I posted a couple of my LO's too. Thanks for looking!

Mom and son super scrapping duo! You both did such a great job. That is a good point "take pictures of our children with a favorite toy." My daughter too loved her Pooh and I wouldn't have a single photo with her holding it either. Then there was Dotty the beanie baby Dalamatian she carried it around for years. Pictures? Not a one. And I even have a great story of the time she carried Dotty into a "Collector Beanie" baby store. I took her in so she could just look and the store owner saw her Dotty right away and grab his chest and said, "What the heck happened to that beanie baby?!" I said, "Oh it's been through the wash a few times. She's not a collector just a lover." The man nearly had a heart attack when he heard I had put it through the washing machine. He was mad that I had "destroyed" a collectors item. I was mad at him that he would try and make anyone feel badly about playing with a children's toy!

Awww....your son did just great. My 6 and 10 year old have been scrapping for a couple of years. My nephews do it but they are only 4 and 6. We shall see if they keep on doing it. Great for him!

Love the Pooh LO. My oldest DS was a Pooh fan too. He slept with the entire gang by the time he was 5. I've got to get them out and take pictures too. DS did a great job on his LO too. With a beginning like that just imagine his pages in a couple of years. Sandy

Oh Thankfully I finally could open you LO's Linda! And I'm so glad I finally succeeded because they look great! I love Winnie the Pooh - If I had kids, I think I would theme their rooms in the "Pooh Style". I've even got a little piglet keeping me company in my Wendy House when I scrap! LOL Your son has got a natural talent Linda! Hey, it must be in his genes! :)))

Actually, it wasnt his first page, but he is getting better and I think i may be rubbing of on him a bit...hehe...I think he likes to spend a little one on one time with me by doing scrapping....WHEN I can get him to sit still long enough to do it....:-)
