OT-Freezer corn recipe

4 qts corn 1 qt water 1 cup sugar 4 teaspoon salt

Cut the corn off the cob raw, mix all ingredients together and boil 15 minutes. cool overnight, bag and freeze. You may just cool this but it will be a little runny, Leaving it overnight thickens it and the corn absorbs the sugar more. My family did four bushels yeterday. Enjoy!!! Lin

OH I wish I had this recipe when we picked our corn two weeks ago! I never thought of cooking it with sugar! I'll bet it is yummy! I cooked it ON the cobs, and let it cool, and then DH and I cut it off the cob and froze it.

This was our first year for planting a mini-garden. DH planted sweet corn, cucumbers and green beans. We STILL have cukes coming out the ears!!! LOL and funny thing is, I found out today the reason WHY we had so many. DH used a lot of Miracle Grow when he planted it all! I cant wait until Sept 3 when my bread and butter pickles will be "done"! Thanks for the recipe..I will file it away for next year!
