I would like to have a recipe for old fashioned Scottish scones made with oats. It's talked about in recipe books but I haven't seen any recipes for it. Please post if you have a tried recipe.

Scottish Oat Scones
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups rolled oats 1/4 cup white sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup currants 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/3 cup milk 1 Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet. 2 In a large bowl, mix the flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt, and currants. Make a well in the center. In a small bowl, beat egg until frothy, and stir in melted butter and milk. Pour into the well, and mix to create a soft dough. Pat dough into two 1/2 inch thick circles. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Score 8 wedges into each circle of dough. 3 Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until risen and browned. Split wedges, and serve warm.Supposed to be just like Starbuck's but don't go there and haven't made these.

1/3 c. sugar 1 1/4 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. oleo or butter 1 c. raisins 1/3 c. milk 1 c. quick or old-fashioned oats 1 Tbsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. cinnamon melted oleo or butter toppingSift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut shortening and oleo until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in oats and raisins. Add milk, mixing just until dry ingredi- ents are moistened. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface; knead gently 5 times. Roll to form a 6 to
