OT: GRRR!

Hi Dave,

I'm with you with the wish to have a safe and secure place to sign in and just hang out with NORMAL people (floozys and flasses included).

But I disagree with the "self esteem" issue with these morons. If they had "self esteem" they wouldn't need to disrespect other people. They know that if they truly said that to our faces they would be on the ground with a very hard left hook.

I find it totally disrespecting when the immature idiot "steals" the identity of a poster and makes like it is that person who is a racist pig when in fact it is someone else with WAY TOO MUCH time on their hands.

I know M-C would like us to ignore the person but sometimes it is hard when you are just looking for some fun and have to weed through the crap. I don't have the luxury of Outlook to block the immature racist sexist postings.

Anyhow, Dave put your feet up, put on American Idol and crack open a soda (or beer if you are inclined). We are happy you have made it home in one piece and l know I look forward to your GROWN UP postings.

Hi Dave, I'm so glad to hear someone speak out about the trash some people put on this site. I am a new member, just joined this week. I am a friend of Lins and she talked so much about this great group that I joined, and the next day there was all this trash on here. I called and told her that I didn't join a site to see stuff like this and she said to just ignore it (eventually it goes away). Any way, it sounds like a great group for the most part. Why don't the idiots who write this trash get a life and find something constructive to do with their time. It is nice to meet you.....

Wow I'm so glad I have a webbie.I have been through tons of messages before getting to the bad ones. Sorry Jan they haven't been there in a while. Maybe someone with a computer can tell you how to block them. Lin

I recently joined this group. I hate to see all the garbage come online. I have filtered out most of it. For those who do not know how to do this here's how.

Click on Message Click on Create Rule from Message A box will come up with 3 other boxes in it. You can select the item that does what you want it to. I usually select Where the Subject line contains specific words Then in box 2 I select "Delete It" Then in Box 3 I click on Specific Words. I then type in the offensive word/words and click on add after each word. Then click okay. Sometimes it will delete all messages at that time.

It really helps get rid of the garbage before you see it the next time you open up your email or newsgroup.

You know all of us use different readers, different operating systems. These instructions will ONLY work if we are using the exact same program as you. I'm using MT-NewsWatcher for Mac. Some read through Google, therefore using a browser, some use unison, some use Outlook, others Outlook Express. It was nice of you to try to help but don't forget to tell them what program you are using and let everyone know that. :D

Hi Jan...I know this is late but having just gotten home, I am a bit behind. I want to welcome you to our grouup and it is not always like what you have been seeing. We are a member of the Big Eight and that means we are accessable to the whole world and there are some strange folks out there. We do ignore them and they will eventually go away. It is sad to think that they may be regular people who just love the thought of getting away with being gross and not even thinking about how offensive they really are to those of us who have different values.
