I've decorated many cakes, but I've only done one wedding cake for my brother. When he got to the reception he said, "Wow it looks like a real wedding cake!" Made me think what did he expect? Minnie Mouse with a veil? Again my cousin is leaving the design up to me, which is good that I can make something wonderful in my skill range. I can't make frosting roses very well and stay away from them.

WTG Lynne! Cake decorating intrigues me, but my carpul tunnel doesn't like it. That's great that your cousin is leaving the design up to you. It shows a lot of trust! But who wouldn't trust you? :-)

WTG!! I would love to be able to make cakes, heck I can't even bake so the odds are really against me there. LOL!! Be sure to take pictures of the cake.

LOL Chrissy, you just need DD's outlook. We're having frozen pizza tonight since DH isn't home. DD helped me put the pizza in the oven and even took it out. After she put it in the oven, she looks at me, and says "I'm a good cook, Mommy!"
Sounds like a great undertaking. I bet it will be beautiful.
