Deb - Thanks for asking! I am unscathed, my power stayed on, although I was surprised, we usually lose it fairly easily. A block away from me was out of power though!

I haven't heard from Melissa, although from the news it sounds like her area lost power, so she may be in the dark! We're supposed to meet up this evening, so I'll let you know if I hear from her!

There are a lot of downed trees everywhere and it was mighty windy last night. crews are out cleaning today.

Thanks again for the concern,

jessica

Jessica, If you see her, ask if the Embellishment Box made it to her okay. I mailed it out last week. Sandy

Oh no! Not a housefull with DH coming home. Glad to hear you are okay and didn't get hit too bad. How are the temperatures there now? I can't believe it has been at 60 here all this week and will be the same thru the weekend. Sandy

Sandy - I do know she has the embelishment box, she told me when we were making plans last night! :)

THanks,

Jessica

4 days without power and we're on well water so you know what that means... not just sitting in the dark without heat but also no running water and no working toilets. Bitter cold in the house the thermostat said 30 degrees farenheit !! We could see our breath inside the house.... that's just so wrong.

More than 850 trees came down in that night storm. I took pictures of two spots within one mile of my house. They can be viewed in the Flood folder of last month. Here is the link for those who are interested.

I'll send you some of the warm weather we've had here the past few days! Hope it doesn't come to burning the furniture! Yikes! Prayers for the power to come back on SOON!

I'm cold just thinking about it! We went without power for several days like that in 2000, right after Christmas. Not fun at all. Of course, I was warm in a hospital with an asthma attack and pregnant with DS. Poor DH and DD. We couldn't even send DD to MIL's because the ice was too bad. MIL didn't have power, either, but she did have gas heat, hot water heater, and stove. They couldn't see at night, but at least they were warm. LOL So I certainly know how you were feeling up there....freezing your tails off! Hopefully no one gets sick due to all the time in the cold.
