OT: Please Support the Hokies

I grew up in VA & graduated from high school there, so had a lot of friends & classmates who went to VA Tech. One of the victims went to my cousin's high school, which was less than 5 miles from mine. Another victim graduated 2 of my cousins; they probably knew each other, at least in passing.

I wore maroon (sorry, no orange in my wardrobe), but didn't notice many others wearing either color. May have been due in many cases to people not getting the word.

April, I'm sorry to hear your DH lost some friends from this horrible tragedy.

I usually don't wear maroon but that was my HS color then strange enough while shopping at CVS lots of EASTER candy, etc. on clearance. I bought some JELLY BELLY Jelly Beans in a dispenser bean the 1st color that came out was ORANGE...orange sherbert flavor.

Now as I am heading over to the checkout I pass by an end cap display which has everything MAROON that's HS related for Whitman School there were teddy bears w/graduation year 2007 on them, water bottles, t- shirts, etc. Ohh I almost bought a maroon lanyard but it didn't look right ...I think the sign said Support your school....so then I thought about checking out other CVS stores maybe getting one from my HS still same color or DH not sure of his school color though..we both went to different ones.
