Went to Micheals today

I went to Micheals today. I teach classes there and on Monday when I went the store looked like it had a huge clearance sale or something the scrapbook part was pretty empty and I thought it was to make room for the Martha stuff. Today when I went the scrapbook part was FULL of new product! K & CO. has a new line of albums, paper and stickers-gorgeous! There are tons of new albums and a bunch of stickers and stamps. All this stuff looks great and is reasonably priced(anywhere from 21-34.00 an album) The Martha stuff doesn't come out till the 28th here but there is lots to look at in the mean time! I was impressed and usually not so much with Micheals selection of scrapping stuff! Just my 2 cents! Barb:o)

Barb.....it was a Craft Day on QVC(UK) last week and they had a full show of a new line....Melissa Frances...which I believe is canadian. Just wondered if you have purchased any of it or what you think of it. It seemed to be considered VERY pricey among the scrapping community here in the UK....who always like the latest stuff. :o) One kit I looked at had 12 papers, some ribbon and embellishments for around £19.00. This would have made the paper around £1.00 a sheet! WOW At the current exchange rate that would be $2.26 CA....about $2.00 US What price would you normally pay for paper in Canada?

Take care, Marilyn

I didn't notice any Melissa Francis not to say there wasn't any but all I seemed to see was K & Co. and it was reasonable. Patterened paper goes anywhere from 70-1.25 per sheet depending where you get it. Sometimes you can find it at Micheals for 3 for a dollar. Cardstock is usually 50-65 cents a sheet(12x12) HTH Barb:o)

Our Michaels here has a bunch of stuff on clearance. I'll definately have to go check out the new stuff when it comes in. Maybe we'll be lucky and it'll be next week? LOL

I'm noticing that AC Moore is clearing out a lot of their paper. I "channelled" Dave in buying 8x11 paper at 5 cents a sheet and since I'm a sticker floozie i also hooked up on some card stock stickers at $.25 each. My in Laws gave me a $25 gift card so it was guilt free spending.

I was in ours today. The shelves are all almost empty. They haven't brought out the new stuff yet. You can tell they are going to put something out though because of the clearance stuff.
