While trying to find ideas for my first wedding album, I have seen some paper bag albums that are very nice! Has anyone ever made paper bag albums? I don't see how you can fit a whole lot on a lunchbag size album (5x5). I am wondering where to find bigger bags like 8x8.. These seem fun!! --any tips or advice on making these? I appreciate your help!! :)
Paper Bag Albums

It all depends on the number of bags you use. I usually do three bags which gives me 12 pages plus 3 pockets for inserts where I use both sides of heavy cardstock to give me 6 more pages to use. That's 18 pages in all. I know several scrappers who use the larger colored party gift bags you can find at most party supply stores to make larger albums. But I like the smaller lunch sacks myself. If I'm going to make a larger size album I might as well just use an 8x8 album. Sandy

I thought I'd give you a link to two paper bag albums I've done. One is a Christmas one:

And the other I made for Thanksgiving:

It's fun for a present, but it's not something I would pick for an album that I wanted to keep forever though as the bags are not necessarily acid free and scrapbook safe. There are a a couple some wedding albums in my gallery as well if you'd care to look.
Good luck! M-C

I have done several in 6x6. I did buy 3 large paper bag albums from ebay but I haven't used them yet.
I've done a few paper bag albums, as teacher gifts. I agree with MC, they're not something I would do as a forever-type project. You're right though, it's definately hard to fit lots of info and pics on a paper bag album! :-)
