Oh, Deb, I am a snowman fan also!!! I have a modest collection that I bring out at Christmas and I always seem to acquire more! LOL One of my favorite snowmen is a snowman cookie jar!! I have collected cookie jars since I was a little girl and have a pretty good amount. LOL Yes, I am a pack rat! I also have a pretty good collection of Santa Clauses. Yep, I have three Santa cookie jars and I think there is another one wrapped up under the tree from one of my favorite little friends (he's ten years old) I recoginise a cookie jar clank anywhere!LOL

Hi M.C.,

Life is getting crazy this final week before Christmas.

I am swamped at work and needed to take a little coffee break. I'm sipping a cup of coffee and reading the news group. :-)

My five year old is home sick with the flu so I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. He's a zombie on the couch watching Scooby Doo videos. His illness is definitely having an impact on my ability to finish all my Christmas stuff.

And my fourteen year old's activities have kicked into high gear. Holiday Choir performances, dance lessons, dance team try-outs, etc.. I have a mini-van glued to my butt chauffering her around each evening so I'm not getting much done.

I did finish making my Christmas cards last weekend and now I have to print out the address labels and get them in the mail. Prior to sending them I'm going to take digital photos of the cards and sometime in the New Year I'll get a Webshots account so I can start posting stuff.

My husband opened a box that was delivered by Fed-X. The box was addressed to me! It was one of his Christmas gifts. He was excited about the gift but initially I was angry. We even had a 'minor' flare up over it. Then I realized I bought the gift to make him happy, he was, and so I relaxed but I insisted that in the future, he NOT open anything that does not have HIS name on it and he agreed.

Ho, Ho, Ho!

It sure sounds like you have everything under control, including your temper, LOL! I get to open anything junk mail at our house but I wouldn't dream of opening a parcel addressed to my DH. I will however follow him around until he opens it!

I love the expression a minivan stuck to my butt! I think a lot of moms and dads feel that way sometime! I hope you get it all done and in an effort to feel less stressed myself here is a piece of wisdom that I am addressing to myself first and you all secone. If it doesn't get done will they stop Christmas? Ok, now I can breathe! LOL

Happy Holidays!!!

Snowmen are just so darn cute! I wouldn't say I collect snowmen, but you never know...I may realize one day that I want to! LOL I do have a clear glass snowman candy jar and some snowman ornmaments. In fact, I'm staring at my snowman holding a pan of cookie ornament that DS just brought to me. DS threw it and the poor snowman's leg came off! Gotta fix the snowman now...

Wowza. Those are fab. Georgeous! How'd you make the special insert for the check? just a pouch?

J

Nope, actually that was a trick Deb showed me for gift cards that I adapted. She loaned me her semi-sircular slit punch and I used a piece of cardstock just a little bit bigger than the check and put slits in the middle of each of the longer ends. Adhered it to the inside cover of the card accross from the card's message and voila, a check holder! I really like easy!

Wow, you have been busy! Very nice cards, you are very creative being able to "invent" different ones each time!

Thanks Linda. I'll post some of the Thank You cards I made as a gift for a friend later.

I love all of your cards. I tell myself I am going to make Christmas cards each year and never do. My husband and I talked about Christmas, and we decided, this coming year we are going to work on Christmas all year long. Otherwise we get so overwhelmed and there is never enough money to go around. We'll see how we do. Azzy

I tell myself the same thing every year, Azzy and despite that I always end up scrambling. Perhaps next year we'll do better!

On that Christmas site that someone posted ( with the reindeer poop ) there is a Rudolph club....they e-mail you each month with a different to do list to help you get ready for Christmas all year long. It reminds me of FlyLady but specifically for Christmas. I am going to sign up, we'll see how it goes.
