My DH and I are looking for a new printer. I have been looking into the Epson's and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them? I have been interested in the 1280, 1520, r1800 and the r2400. These particular printers can print on 12 x 12 paper, that is why I was looking into them. TIA, Dorothy in NY

Hp is a really good company for printer. ~~Yanya~~
We have an Epson 1270. I think the 1280 replaced our model. We love it! Would buy another Epson.

I saw the r1800 the other day. the change with the r1800 is that it can print 12x12 and right to the edge of the paper for a true 12x12. Color looked amazing.
I am a long time Epson fan. I have had three of them and three Canons too. I have just had better luck with them not being as fussy over paper than HP's and the ink is less costly. The Epson's also are the ones more top rated for their long life ins if used with their photo papers but I think any quality paper wold be the same. My current Epson nad the one before it I bought and use third party ink artridges and have NO PROBLEM with them. Try that with a HP!!!
Good luck an have fun!

I gotta agree with Dave on this - I LOVE My Epson, I can use "off-brand" cartridges with no trouble. It's easy to use, and the customer service, well, I've never had to call them, but I've heard they're good. I also have an Epson scanner.
My experience with HP customer service was SOOOOOOO bad, and took months to get me nowhere, that I personally never want to by from them again. But, that's just my experience, I know they do have some excellent products too.
However, for photo printing, I say Epson.
My 2 cents.
