Printing Photos?

I buy JetPrint Photo Paper, soft gloss and medium weight...since I started buying that, I never print my photos anywhere else. The quality that I get from my own printer is great.

I'm a big fan of matte prints, and I mean totally matte, not that photo paper matte that still has a bit of a sheen to it. I love Epson's Premium Presentation Paper Matte. They also have Ultra Premium, but I haven't tried it yet. The only problem with the Premium is that it takes a while to dry. Just read the instructions first if you use it!

I like matte photos. I have some Kodak Anytime Picture Paper (8 1/2 x 11, matte finish) and I do NOT suggest it. It's okay for some projects, in fact I used it for all the photos on my "Dream Vacation" LO a few months ago. This Kodak paper seems too thin to me. I'm interested to see what others suggest, too.

I like to the look of Matte paper - I have an Epson, and they make great paper in matte and gloss. It's a little pricey, but I really like the look.

I get the value packs of Kodak medium weight soft gloss 8.5x11 from Offce Depot. It works well in all my different printers (4 of them!) and with all different settings of printing dpi's. It says on the package that is fast/instant dry, smudge free and can print on both sides.

I have not printed on both sides, but did ind that it does not fast dry or is smudge proof from the laser printer. Laser printers are a whole new ballgame! They do not like photo papers unless made exclusively for laser printers. We have found that out at work too. The heat from them I think as some of them curl and jam in the printer.

I have an HP photo printer and have experimented with "lesser quality paper" and have completely wasted my money. I use only HP photo paper for printing at home.
