You might take a few pictures of a nice landscape and you want to put it all together to make one big picture, or a panoramic. Some scrapbookers use the program to 'stitch' together a two page layout to look like one big layout. My digital camera came with the software to 'stitch' together landscape type pictures. I found a website that will give you an idea of what I mean:
