question on using sentiments or quotes from the web

I don't know if this is an ethical question or just needing an opinion on the subject. If you were browsing websites for stamp sentiments to use on cards or quotes on layouts, is it wrong to copy them down and print them out yourself. Example: If I saw a cute image or card sentiment, and it was a stamp, but I don't want to spend the money on the stamp, but I could just as easy copy down the text or draw the image and print it out myself to use in a card. Does anyone think that is wrong, or do people do that all the time? I know there are laws on copying copyrighted images, but for words, I'm not sure. Any opinions?

I don't see why it wouldn't be okay as long as it is for personal use only and not for commercial use As far as copyrights, it would have to say that it is copyrighted somewhere on the page or image.

I agree with Sandy as long as it's for personal use and not commerical use and your not making a profit from it there is nothing wrong with it.
