Eeek - sounds like fun, but way out of my forseeable price range!
So - I do have to agree with Melissa that it would be nice to plan an RCS retreat for those on this side of the country, that may be a tad less fancy, and therefor a tad cheaper, but possibly more feasable for some....
Maybe we could plan one for about the same time period though, and then we'd all be on retreats together in spirit if not in person!!!!

That is a good idea Jessica, if you are able to take the lead on the meet. I say this because unfortunately Melissa currently doesn't qualify as a regular poster and you do and you've also hosted a successful swap. Sorry Melissa but while we are very, very happy that you joined us again, you were gone for a long time and have not been posting a whole lot since you've been back.
While anyone can host a "local" RCS meet, so far in the history of the group only the list "mom" as Dave calls it has hosted a national/international meet. There have been 3 of us that have organized such meets since RCS was started. This is not written in stone but rather just the way it has worked out in the past. I personally believe that any regular and experienced member should be able to take the lead. I propose that we add words to that effect in the group FAQs so that if the issue comes up again, it will be addressed there for everyone to see. Melissa you will no doubt qualify to do that once you've had a chance to post regularly, complete a couple of swaps successfully, and host one yourself.
But something that might be considered is for those that can't afford the cruise to MEET US IN TAMPA BEFORE OR AFTER THE CRUISE. I'm thinking that before the cruise might work out better. Like I said before, the weather here this time of year is amazing and there are a whole lot of great scrapbook stores here who would let us use their classroom. Just a thought.

Sandy, yes I talked it over with DH last night and I am going to plan on it! I am going to drive down, so if you want to go I could pick you up on the way.My biggest problem is saving the money to go, but we were thinking too, that Uncle Sam is sending out those rebate checks and hopefully that will help, plus by next March, I will have my tax refund for spending money! I really struggled with the decision financially, because we just bought this new car but this after looking at the Carnival website, and seeing all there is to offer and do, I think its a reasonable rate for a cruise, and I should have plenty of time to save the money.
