Re: Gotta Share....Really Long

Wow Susan what a nice story. I can't say I knew how you feel since my DD isn't that old yet. In a way I can say that since Abby is getting bigger and its so nice to watch but sometimes I miss her as a baby. I'm glad that your DD had such a great time. I'm sorry to hear that your DH is having a hard time with her growing up. I'm not sure how my DH will be when Abby reaches that age to date. We shall see huh :)

Take care, Tabitha FL

Susan-

What a great homecoming. Glad your daughter had fun.

Oh Susan! What a crazy day - but fun! I am so sorry you had no one to share all of those feelings with as they were happening! I'm glad you shared the with us though! What a wonderful time in her life...for some reason, your story brought tears to my eyes! I can't wait to see the pictures - I know she looked beautiful.

Loved your story. We were never able to have kids so I really enjoy other peoples stories about their kids. I can really relate to how you needed to talk to your mom but couldn't. I suppose that is something we'll never stop feeling.

Hi Susan,

I know what you're feeling. My son just enter Junior High and the realization that they are babies anymore had already hit me, but now he's being more responsible for himself and I'm out of the loop just looking in and watching... guilding here and there. It's very emotional for us moms. And why do dads think it's OK to miss important events in their children's lives? Us moms wouldn't miss it for the world. Those deer blinds would just have to be put up another day in our minds. A friend of mine's husband broke his heal in July and he's in a walking brace thing now. Didn't want to come to the kids "All School Performance" that other night. Us moms would be rolled in on a stretcher if we had too.

Also how come when we need to talk nobody's home to answer their phone? Isn't that the oddest thing. I've had that happen a few times myself. Although I have gotten that message a time or two on my answering machine saying, "WHERE ARE YOU I NEED TO TALK?!" When hubby and I have spontaneously decided to go out to dinner.

Hoping you're feeling better and more relaxed today. Hoping you are able to get all your photos back and enjoy too!

It was nice to read your story. Sometimes I feel all alone when I get excited for my teens. My girls are 17 and 14 and there have been lots of firsts - homecoming, prom, choir concerts, band concerts, etc. Most of the families we attend church with have homeschooled kids or just seem so much more strict so I don't get to gush much. My 17 year old dd has a boyfriend and he's really the nicest young man but I don't get to share that much.

Hi Susan:>)

I read your letter through Mindi's reply, which is really strange, because I can't see Mindi's originals,(go figure)

Anyway, I know what you mean about emotions at this time. I've already been through it with my 2 girls. Very overwhelming:>)

Glad things went well though:>)
