Re: Saving JPEGs to a CD

I have an Olympus digital camera and it came with its own software. I installed it on my computer and when I download the pictures off the camera onto the computer they are in jpg format. I just upload the pictures to places like desertsunmedia.com or shutterfly.com and have them printed. I do back them up onto CD from the computer (which now I have to get them to DVD....) and my CD burner came with software also, it is called Adaptec Create CD and it is very easy to use. I believe you can download it from the internet- I just open it, chose Data CD, once it open I go to the place where the pictures are and drag and drop the pictures to it and press the button called create CD and it does it's thing! Very easy! Check the settings on your digital camera to see if you are saving them in jpg format. Mine has the choice to switch between jpg and tiff but it defaults to jpg.

Hi Barbara.. .I have all HP products, Cp,printer, scanner. I have an Olympus digital camera. All photos I take or scan are saved as jpegs, and put in one of two files, either "MY PICTURES" or "PHOTOS". Then when I want to copy I use my copy and paste feature, and put them on a CD, but have not had to access them anywhere other than my own system... Hugs, Neets, Memere Neets, Anita Connecticut, USA

I have been using the memory card in my camera. After I download the pictures I select all of the pictures that I want printed using the ctr + mouse click. Then I right click and do the save-as option, select my camera from the drop down menu. This way when I get to Costco, all I have to do is the print all option; and don't have to tell them which pictures I want.

The only thing that I figured out about doing this is make sure they are not protected when they go back onto the card, it is a pain to turn that option off on each picture.
