Roll Call Fl Gals & Guys

We did pretty good. We lost power Sunday around 10 pm and got it back Monday afternoon around 4 pm. The only reason we lost power was because a neighbor's tree fell on the power lines - so it was just our street. Our one store didn't lose power but we closed at 3 pm Sunday afternoon and were able to open up Monday morning with no problems. Our other store (the one that was closed for a week last time with all the roof leaks) lost power and we lost our cooler full of food again. We saved all our frozen stuff by taking it to the other store - but we couldn't even do that until the curfew was lifted. Our power came back on today and we hope to have new food tomorrow and be up and running again!

We are ready for all of these hurricanes to go away and leave us alone!!

We are fine. No damage here. We do have a friend that had a Grandfather Oak in their front yard split in two. Part of it hit the house so they have holes. They got their vehicles moved out of the driveway just before the tree rolled into the driveway. DS and DH were over there Sun. cutting up the tree to clear the driveway. DD b/f family is one of many without power. Word is they may not have it for

10 days or so. We took food to them Sun evening but can't convince them to come stay with us. Schools will be out again tomorrow so the kids will have to make up time somewhere along the line. Word is that DD HS may not have power for 4 or more days so they may be out all week.

Oh thank goodness! Our power just came back on. We had lot's of clean up. Power and phone were out for 48 hours. I felt like I was camping..lol Hope every one is okay. Kelly in Fl

Hi Patti. Welcome back..glad your ok. I am sick of this weather too and I'm in GA. We lost power last week..this week we only got rain and no wind. I have to make weekly hurricane phone calls to my family in Florida though.. lol.. Lets hope this is the end of the hurricanes.

I'm in Indiana and we could use some of your rain. It hasn't rained here in a long time. It is so DRY. Dust is flying everywhere. Then you've got the combines out there too stiring up more dust. Yuck.

Glad to hear you are ok. They had several trees down where I used to live and some flooding down the road. My DH who evacuated from Deland to of all places Clearwater with his GF had damage to his car and his GF who drove her own car over had a little damage to hers from flying debris. Other than not having Road Runner available till at least Thursday, Deland was OK when he got back. I guess Carol might be in the same boat with no internet access. I hope she's OK.

I knew you were tired when I left....but your DH has a GF??? Surely you meant your DS and his GF.....

I'm here.. We are all moved... woah!! So much unpacking to do and getting rid of things. We just got a lot of rain and high winds. Just got our internet back today.

Kenda....I'm glad you ragged on her for that one....I was going to but............you beat me to the punch. After all, this is the 2nd time she has referred to her DS as her DH since she moved away from FL. lol Hugs MC.............now go get some rest! S

Will do M-C :) The kitchen I can deal with :) The only thing that I don't like are the roaches. Should have known there was a problem when I saw all the traps under the sink and everywhere else. I can't stand them but I spray those buggers like nothing else. Plus Eric bought some spray stuff to put around. I hope it works. He said bugs are common in Florida well, not this many in one place I should say. We've killed at least 6 since we moved in Saturday night. Sorry bout going on like that. I just don't like them. Kind of makes me feel uncomfortable walking around the house.

One good thing is the bath last night was good. Too bad the tub wasn't longer :)

Can't wait to find all my scrapbooking supplies :) There's journals to work on :) I guess one thing at a time :)

Doing good on the rest :) Abby is doing good in her bed now :) Gets up about

3am which is fine but she's at least sleeping in her bed. :)
