Shaped cards

I had to make a 'bag' card and a 'dress' card for a swap... it was a challenge even though they gave me a template to use, and I had so much fun doing them that I made a bunch more... the only rule was that they had to have at least one punchy on them because they're made for a punching group...

I love the textured paper on the yellow on. Did you do that, or did it come that way? Really creative-great job! Kathy

I sure do... they're from the Craft Creations magazine. I just fiddled with the pattern a bit because I felt that their dresses were too skinny to look good, and if they were a bit larger then I'd have more room for decoration! I also made the bag a bit differently - from the directions it appears that you're just meant to fold the card in half and use the fold as the top of the bag and just put a purely decorative 'flap' on it... I didn't see why it shouldn't be a functional flap, so I folded the cardstock roughly into thirds and then trimmed the flap to the desired size. Anyway, here's the actual link:

Yes, I textured that with one of the fiskars texturising plates... I thought it looked a little like snakeskin or that textured leather stuff (it's actually 'lace') Thanks for the compliment...

Awesome-I have those Fiskar templates and never use them. You're inspiring-simply love that look. Thanks for sharing your talent. Kathy

Too cute! I love seeing different style cards. I think it would be fun to do a card swap...we could pick a theme, or holiday. Hmmm. Something to think about and a quick way of using a bit of the stash.
