Should I buy a sizzix while I still can?

Creative Express is discontinuing them... so they're selling all their sizzix and sizzlets stuff a6 60-70% off! That's as cheap as they're ever going to get anywhere... but once they're gone there won't be any more. (Sidekick cutting pads are out of stock already...)

They are selling off there old stuff as they came out with the new bigshot. Ellison bought them and are making new items to use with it. You can use the old stuff or the new. It's all compataible. The big heavy red one uses the pressing and you move it system, and the bigshot uses the lay it there and roll it thru system. Just easier to use thats all.

All their old stuff is worth getting as I stated in another thread...you can use them to cut chipboard, felt, plastic shrink art, etc with the sizzix green yellow and red dies!

Okay... Creative Express has a very slow website, but pretty good service when it comes to getting the stuff to you... :) Have fun!

I think if you've been considering getting one, do it now. You can also go to

to see what they're coming out with. I now have a Sizzlits alpha set, and I'm loving it. I wouldn't mind upgrading to the BigShot, but before I do, I want to make sure my Sizzix/lits will all fit it. I think they will, though, if I remember right!

sometimes you can got o craigs list and find good deals on sizzix too. I got a script sizzlit alpha for $20 from a online group. jkcrafts.com usually sells them cheap too. Sizzix.com sells cheap and has free shipping too.

I think now IS the time to buy Sizzix if its THAT cheap! Like cowchipper said, its all compatible with the new Ellison stuff. There are other websites and Ebay too, that still have sizzix available at great prices. JMHO

I say you can never have enough die cutting systems cause you'll will use them and you can swap with friends for ones you don't have. I love my Sizzix especially the Side Kick cause it's more portable. I just purchased the long strip die that's an alphabet. It's cheaper than any of the others and convenient to carry around. Hilda
