STORAGE QUESTION

hi guys n gals,

I know this has probably been asked so many times you're all just going to delete the post, but i want to know how do you store your products...i mean..when you guys need to get your scrapbooking stuff mobile, where do you put it and how do you make it easy for you to carry.

i am attending a crop night (6 hours of scrapbooking) this coming friday night for the first time and i have absolutely no idea how to carry the things that i want to use like my large pile of paper, my stickers, my embellishments and all the bits and pieces that i am keeping "just in case" i need to use them all one day.

please help!!!

if you don't have a crop bag then use a small suitcase as I have lately. I finally got a cropping bag and I am still going to use my small suitcase too. I have been to a party and 2 crops locally and feel I don't ever have with me all I need.

Hi

I'd say do what a few of the ladies in here do, make crop packages. Everything for a layout with photos and embellishments INCLUDING paper. then you just have to add the scissors, glue sticks etc in the bag.

If i go to a crop this is what i'd do.

I like crop bags. They just seem to hold more than a small suitcase. I am always surprised by how much I can fit in one when I use ALL the pockets! But I also preploan what I am going to do so I have the supplies for that whether it is a LO or a theme book. I also don;t worry about embellishments. I might have some specific embellies with, but I just concentrate on getting the peper and pictures together. If ther is something I think I want to add, I'll put a sticky note on the LO with my idea so I will remember when I get home.

Welcome to RCS! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun at your first crop. I remember my first crop at a scrapbook store, and it was so great!

I use a Crop-n-Style XXL to tote my supplies around. Rather than trying to take all of your supplies, though, I highly suggest you make up "page kits" as they're sometimes called. Basically, you preplan your pages. I start with my pics, then add paper, then embellishments. Someone suggested starting with pics, then embellishments, and pick paper to coordinate with the embellishments. Whichever works for you. It certainly does cut down what you have to tote with you! LOL

Hope you'll share your first crop night experience with us.

Welcome to RCS! :-) I usually put together a little crop " tool kit", which contains necessary cutting, glueing and writing utensils, adhesives, you know, just the basics. If you are going to a LSS aka scrapbooking store to crop, keep in mind they have tools in their crop room you can use too, if you don't want to drag ALL of your stuff with you. I have a rolling tote bag that I got from JoAnns (purchased with a 50% off coupon) I am with everyone else..make page kits!!! Pick out your pics, paper and embellishments ahead of time and make a page kit out of it and you will have it all together to start on. I use an accordian file that fits 12x12 paper in to make my page kits. (I got it at Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupon) Or you can use huge ziploc bags to organize your kits in and put them in a canvas bag or small suitcase. I have used small snack size Ziplock baggies for small embellishments with the page kits. I have a small flat plastic case i keep eyelets, snaps and brads in. You can get one in the Sewing /Craft dept at Walmart, or I found one in the hardware dept near the toolboxes that has more spaces in it. It fits right on top inside my bag. Good luck and have fun!!
