storing 12 x 12 paper; what's best???

I am wondering what and/or which is the best way to store 12 x 12 papers? How many of you own the P3 and is it worth the investment??? I just don't know. Please offer your 2 cents, as it will be GREATLY appreciated! God Bless, Dorothy in NY

What is the P3?? I haven't heard of that. I found some of the three drawer plastic carts that hold 12x12 paper at Walmart. I have three of them stacked up beside my desk. THey work great, the only issue is taht the paper is stored horizontally and not vertically.

HI Dorothy! I had my dad build a couple of units for my papers, to store them horizontally on shelves when I first started scrapping. I still use them! Pictured here:

I have outgrown that, and now have Cropper Hopper vertical storage units, and I find it more user friendly. see below link

You can thumb through what you are looking for, without removing the whole stack, making your selection, and having to put it all back on the shelf. I also have a wire cube unit with shelves, that I first used horizontally, and now I use it vertically to store prebought page kits, and other odds and ends. I didnt like storing loose sheets of paper in the wire cube, because the corners would get caught in the openings.

I saw them at Costco for about $15. They work great for me. I also use the 12x12 clear stackable shelves like these

I got them on QVC.com In the future I might get this:

I store my paper in the Crop-in-Style Paper Taker. I store it under my desk and when I go to crops, I just grab the whole thing. It works well for me. Here is the link, it's not that great of a photo though.

My DH gave me the P3 for Christmas last year. and I LOVE it. It works for me because I have limited space and I can open it up when working and collapse when I am done. I think it is intended for taking to crops. If you have perm. storage for paper, I would say no. But if your space is limited. - go for it.

Right now I have mine stored in hanging 12X12 folders with different catagories labeled on them on a rolling cart. I really like that I can find everything. I have my stickers in hanging folder too with the same catagory labels. Only thing my 12 X12 storage is full to the brim. I am really using a lot of my stash this year and maybe I'll get it down so it's not bulging.

I have a commercial wire for storing both sizes of paper, I picked it up at a store that was getting new fixtures, it also has a wire wall on top.

Now that's a neat system for taking paper to a crop. Sandy

I have used several items in the past. At the moment I am using the Cropper Hopper vertical storage that Linda has linked to above. It has been the best for me. I have room on my desk and I can flip through easily. If you have room I would definitely recommend the vertical storage! (I figured out I was a paper FLOOSY when I put all my paper in vertical storage... I had to keep going out and buying more because I under estimated my stash. LOL)

Laying the paper flat is best. I just bought an awsome craft cabinet from Sauder for about $230.00. Check it out on their web site under craft cabinets... It has 15 shelves, 6 drawers and a larger open space, or you can configure it your way. Great item.. Its about 48x45x 14 1/2... Fits the

12x12 papers and many other items!!!! Good luck
