Thank you Kenda

I just got home and found the cutest birthday card in the mail from Kenda! Thanks so much for thinking of me.

I am still around, lurking mostly. This has been a crazy school year. I went back into the public school system because of the money and benefits and was lucky enough to get a position teaching 4th grade gifted. Of course, being in a public school means soooooo much more work! I am also in graduate school as I have to get my master's degree in order to stay in the position I am in. Needless to say, this means no life outside of school, whether it is elementary or graduate. Scrapbooking is definitely taking a back seat right now. Maybe in the summer I will get to work on all those projects I have going on in my head!

Anyway, there's my life in a nutshell (emphasis on NUT). Again, I wanted to thank Kenda for her thoughfulness.

I've been wondering where you have been. Sounds like took over! :-) But we do have to keep things prioritized. We'll be here though, when you can get back to poting and scrapping. I'm sure you'll do fine getting your master's degree. How much longer on that?

Well, I just started this semester, so about 2 years. UGH! I'm exhausted already. I know why we should do these things when we are young. It will be worth it though. One of the main reasons I stayed in the private school so long was the small classes I had. By getting my gifted certification, I still get the small classes (maximum of 17). The main problem with it is the parents and the extra paperwork involved. But it's definitely better than trying to do all this stuff with 26 or more students. It's just hard to do that after working and being on my feet all day.

You're very welcome Selena! I was pretty sure you were still around. We all get so busy sometimes. We'd love to see more of you when you can manage it, though sure looks like you've been busy! Take care of yourself....
