Thanks for the warm welcome!

I just wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome! Like I said, I've only been doing scrapbooking for a month and it is SOOOOO addicting!! I love working on pages and during the week I'm pretty busy with the baby and can only get a couple of pages done. But the weekends, dh kind of takes over Nathaniel's care since it's the only time he really gets to see him. I usually get 2-4 pages done in a weekend in between running errands and stuff. In the last month, I have looked at TONS of different scrapbooking websites and I've made several trips to AC Moore's and Michaels. My latest debate is whether or not to get one of those die cutting machines. Do any of you have one?? Benefits? Is it worth the money? It seems like I'd have to use TONS of die cuts to make it worth the money. As for tools, I have one of the Fiskars shapecutters and a few of the templates that go with that (dh is making me customized templates for the Shapecutter - he just made me a halloween template). I also have an Exacto set, one of the nice Fiskars cutters. Any other tools of the trade you would suggest?? Also in the last month, I've been through several different tape dispenser thingies (that's a technical term LOL) and I've yet to find one that works good. Any suggestions on a good one??

Sorry for all the questions, but I don't know anyone else that does scrapbooking!

Brandy..If I didn't welcome you...Welcome!! I think most of us have the Creative Memories cutting system and it is great. I also have a Sizzix and I do use it a lot. Mostly I use the alphabets..I have the lolipop and the shadow letters. I was fortunate to have two scrapping dauughters that bought me the Sizzix and they also buy me dies with the 50% and 40% off coupons from the craft shops. I like the Hermifix dispensers for adhesives and I like the Zig glues. Hooray for you to be able to get so much done on the week end! Nice to have you with us.

Michaels is a great place. Do you know if you have any LSS's there? If you don't know what that means it stands for Local Scrapbook Store. I also have a sizzix. Just got it actually. I don't have the letters yet but I have some different kind of dies for it though. I use mine a lot so I would say its worth the money but its up to you on whether or not if you would use it a lot. Your DH sounds great to make you templates. That's just awesome :) Like Sabrina said the Hermafix is really good too :) Another tool that I use a lot is the eyelet tool.. I don't know if you are interested in eyelets or not. Other than that I'm not sure at the moment.

Hey there Brandy. Welcome to RCS! I've been out of town a few days and there sure are a lot of newbies that came out to play while I was gone. It goes in spurts like that though.

I don't have a sizzix or quikutz, but several here do. I just don't use die cuts on my pages. I sure do love those qk alph fonts though! As for tape dispensers...I just use photo tabs out of the box. I also have A hermafix dots dispenser, but I only use the dots for my pics. They're too pricey for me to use on everything.
