upright or laying flat?

Been meaning to ask. What is the best way to store completed albums, laying flat or upright? Does anyone know this one.

it also allows for air flow and reduces the trapping of any chemical vapors or moisture in your pages...

Obviosly I'm wrong. I had heard Flat so there would be less pull on the pages but maybe that is just for the ring bound albums (which I do not use). S

ahh..i hadn't even thought of the ring bound ones. i bet they are MUCH better off laying flat. i've seen the protectors ripped at the top hole from too much stress there before. thanks for bringing up a good point. lori shay

I was told to always store mine upright, I have CM albums.

At least for the strap hinge albums and post bound albums, upright is best. If you lay them flat, the pictures are all pressing together. Even if they have page protectors over them the pressure could cause the emulsion to break. Also, even the best cardboard and wood in the covers will begin to bend if left laying flat.
