USPS 15x15 scrappers flat rate "Julie Box"

Would you believe it, the darn thing exists, it just isn't carried on the USPS website or in post offices. Here is a link to the petition to get it added. The box is actually free. The shipping on 4 boxes is $23 something. You can also get them from this website since this is the lady who worked with the post office to help create it! Bet it would do wonders for our NSSSF and Secret Santa swaps and make it easier to have 12x12 swaps!

That's awesome. Maybe now we won't have to hit up the pizza places for boxes.

Just make sure you sign the petition. I'm sure the USPS has no idea how many of us are out here waiting for that box!

Where on the USPS site do you go to get to the petition? I can not find it without hitting every link. They have nothing that says anything about petition, requests, etc.

TFS and ((hugs!))

The USPS isn't the one doing the petition. The lady who worked with them is to prove that we do need it!

The lady from Scrap Your Trip was at CKU along with a representative from the Post Office talking about the boxes. I guess she is taking someone from the post office to all scrapbook events so they can see how many people would actually use the box. Right now only Scrap Your Trip and Creating Keepsakes have access to the boxes. They were supposed to have one for each of us at CKU, but they never arrived! Go figure. Anyway she needs as many signatures as she can get on the petition to make them available to the general public.

I noticed that there was a USPS kiosk at the CKC Convention at Ft Lauderdale. My reaction was what is the USPS doing at a scrapbook convention. Now I get it! I'm sure that the people selling 12x12 paper and such on EBay would like to have those available as well.

They were giving them away at CKC in Nashville. I brought home 6 of them and already used one to send my last NSSSF box to Amanda in. You can even put a large completed album in one and ship it - they were demonstrating them at the conference. Sandy

I don't know if there is yet a flat rate for the box yet, but when my DS took it to the post office it cost $8.25 to mail to Houston. It can either be sent flat like to put LO's in, or it can sort of pop-up for bulky items.
