Thanks too to Sabrina for being our official "accounting firm". I am sure that she will chime in here and let you know that the results of the judging are truly being reflected in this announcement!

AND THE WINNER IS....

The judges loved both pages, which were only identified as Entry #1 and Entry #2, and the contest was very close. But in the end Cathy's layout came out on top. Congratulations, Cathy on a " simple but elegant layout with nicely done handmade embelishments and a great well journalled story". Cathy please contact me with a good time to phone you either this afternoon or any time tomorrow as I'd like to offer you a choice of prizes.

Kudos to you too Judy! For someone so new to the art of scrapbooking you made this a tough choice for the judges. They loved your bold choice of colors! Because you had the guts to enter and did so well, I've decided to send you a consolation prize so please watch your mail. I know it will take a while to get there, so please be patient!

I hope that we will have a much higher participation when I host the next contest later this year!

Congratulations Cathy! I'm so glad I wasn't a judge. I would have had a hard time choosing between the two. Cathy's tells such a great story, and I loved the clothespins in your layout Judy. Congratulations to both of you!

I agree with Deb. I would have had a hard time choosing. Both layouts are just awesome!!!!! Congrats Cathy!!

Great job you two!!!!!

How on earth did you pick a winner!? Both entries were so good.

Lynne

Great Job ladies!! Very pretty pages! Love the idea with the Teddy bears! I am going to have to use it, my 2 year old cant go anywhere without his "Bear Bear"~ Love the tiny clothespins, I saw them use somet this morning on DIY scrapbooking. LOVE IT!! Great JOb and Congrats!!

Congrats Cathy! Judy, yours looked wonderful too. I think you are both winners.

Two great contest entries :o) Bet the judges had a hard time deciding...rather them than me! Kudos to both contestants...you both did a great job! Marilyn

Congratulations to Cathy! It had to have been a tough choice, both LO's were great. Isn't it something to see what two different people can do with the exact same theme. The same way with the March Challenge. Just look at the diversity of the pages, and all done with the same sketch. Welll done both of you!!!! Sandy

WOW! I can see why the judges had such a hard time choosing!

Congrats to you both:>)

I feel just like Price -Waterhouse The judges did indeed have a close call and I personally thought they were GREAT! My Congratulations to both participants and I hope more peeps will participate in the next contest!! Thanks t M-C and the wondeful judges!

Hugs, Sabrina in Kentucky

a good friend is a life long treasure

Both layouts were really well done! Congratulations to the both of you.

Thanks M-C, judges and everyone. I can't believe I won. After hearing the title of the layout for the contest, I knew my page had to be about Melissa and Ted.

Judy your layout is great. I love the colors and the embellishments you used. It looks like it was a fun party!

Congratulations to Cathy! Your LO is stunning :) I love the handmade bear in the title! And yes it was a great party, poor Annette was a great sport and took her punishment like a man...eeerrr...bride to be :) Have to tell her now that her "party face" is on the net! LOL. Luckily no one will recognize her.

Thank you for the competition M-C. It was a lot of fun. Did not expect a consolation prize, but thank you very much :)

Judy, SA
