My mother who doesn't scrapbook thought that was such an awesome gift she wanted to know where you lived "my kind of guy", "if he's ever around, be sure he comes for a visit" and such. She's eager to learn how to use it too. Now, hopefully I'll be able to get the templates at awesome prices with the upcoming discontinuation of the machine.

Do regular brass embossing plates work in the machine too? I'd think they would; has anyone tried it?

I knew you and Jessica wanted one so bad and since mine was lightly and gently used (I wore out April's - LOL!) and knew just where it was meant to go.

LOL April, I was going to tell her about JK Crafts. Melissa and Jessica, that site DOES have the best sales on Sizzix, unless you get 50% off at Michaels. Sometimes Hobby Lobby has them for that too, but don't know if you have those store out there.

So anyway, can you email me directions on how to use the converter and such. I kinda think I know what to do except for that part. And I will ask again. Can I use regular metal embossing templates with my machine as well? And because I have the Sizzix machine does that mean I cannot use the sidekick templates. I'm just so unknowledgeable but eager to shop -- for alphabets, lots and lots of alphabets. Thanks for the heads up on the sales. We don't have hobby lobby, do have michaels and jkcrafts being on the web, thanks for the tip there!

Happy New Year everyone! I cannot believe it's a new year next week. Time to start recounting the pages and seeing where I go with my scrapping. I doubt I'll be close to 200 next year but we'll see. LOL, Melissa in Seattle

Converter is great. It will use the temlpates to emboss and the sizzlets as well. Don't forget it will also smash bottle caps. I just use an old pad whish I keep strictly for bottle caps. Just remember to place the bottlecaps ridge side down or you will have to pry the caps off the pad with a screwdriver.(take it from experience). Sandy
