Can't offer any advice, though. I've got the 150 and the 510 that I'm hoping will last a lot longer than 8 years! :-)

Just checked the xyron website--the 900 looks really cool! Wonder if you can get it cheaper elsewhere...didn't see the 550 there though.

I have the 510 and the 900, I use the 510 way more than the 900. I would say it depends on the size of the things that you use the most. The cartridges for the 900 are more expensive and unless you are using really big pieces it would be a waste.

I picked up the 900 for less than $40 when Sizzix had a special sale or otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it.

I have the 900 and love it!! Sorry to hear about your 500, I hope mine continues to keep going and going.....

LOL Oh dear. Poor Xyron 500....it had a good life, though. I know you gave it a long life full of love. :-)

I can't help you on the decision between the 550 or 900. I don't have either one. What's the difference in the two?
