Well got mine today and took it out and started to have fun with it.
the package came with 2-9 volt batteries, the design printer, instructions as big as ones with hugh printers (poster size), one design printer base, one black ink cartridge, and 2 design disks the size of camera cards with the designs listed and shown ona insert paper. I also bought 2 extra disks but only recieved one today and the other will come tommorrow.
It is compact and holds in one hand for us adults and maybe 2 hands for the little users. I placed the batteries, ink cartridge in the unit and then the disk goes in the side. Open the top flap that flips up and press a button to turn on screen. It shows the number and name of the design and the first part of the design. Black letters display. Some designs are distorted on the screen but is close to what you will see on the paper insert that comes with the disk. Also I advise practicing placemnet and speed on a spare piece of paper first. I played around with one sheet of printer paper first. I did one flat round tag, but had to tape it down flat first. did ok the second time i swiped it. Tried a piece of cream colored tweed ribbon. Printer did ok but not as dark as what you find in the store. But at least you can put what you want on it. You cna also push a button to multiply the times it prints the picture or word/words. There is a clear sheild on either side of the unit to watch where you are going. The tweed ribbon kinda bled through a little so if something is on the other side forget about using it if you mess up printing what you want.
Last but not least you CAN'T tattoo a design of choice on someone. I went fast, slow, slightly above the skin, and a few other ways. I tried on hubby and son and being it is not a flat surface it smudges and the ink is hard to remove from your body!!!!...LOL
