Cape for my Mum

I'd like to make a fleece cape for my Mum (my stepmother) for Christmas. I have downloaded the Wild Ginger freebie, (although some items don't have directions; found this out when I tried to make their Evening Wrap.....) and would like to make the cape from their design. I would like to add a collar to it, maybe a hooded collar or just a plain cowl neck. Does anyone have any ideas on how this is done? I'm sure I could figure it out, and have pretty much in my head, but I'd like to know if I'm going the right route.

Thanks for your input!

Maybe you could print out the poncho and take the neckline from the poncho, transfer it to the cape, and then use the poncho hood.

You're welcome.

P.S. The directions for making the Evening Wrap are on page 9 of 26 (according to Adobe Acrobat Reader) of the PDF file they include with Wild Things, and they sound adequate enough for me. I know that they had to release a second version of it -- if you don't have the instrux on page 9 of 26, then maybe you need to download it again.

The link is at the WG website. I think they call the tunic a wrap vest, but other than that everythign is there. If you have more problems after you download the updated program, let me know.

Beth, if you open your wild things again, on the left side of the window is a little sewing machine icon. Click on this and it will bring up the instructions.
