Knitting a tie for my dad

Hello everyone -

I have been pretty scarce, but have definitely been doing some knitting, including taking some classes! I have also learned to crochet, and am working on an afghan that is a neat pattern, and very, very easy to pick back up after working on other projects.

Anyway, the reason for this post is that I'm working on the first tie from Interweave's "All Tied Up" patterns. (See

.) I know that there are supposed to be finishing instructions beyond blocking, but they aren't in the article. Does anyone have those instructions?(In case you're wondering, one class I'm taking is for sweater 9726 which can be seen at
formatting link
which I'm doing in a lovely shade of green yarn from....Brown Sheep? Is that it? I don't have it in front of me!)(And in case you're wondering more, the crochet project I'm working on is in the style of
formatting link
done in blues and rose.)(And in case you're wondering still more, I'm going to soon start working on
formatting link
as a going away gift for a friend!) Thanks in advance for your help!

- Melinda.

Hi Melinda! I don't have them, and unfortunately, I'm afraid getting a response from some in the group right now will be null, as they've decided to let the trolls win.... Hugs, Noreen who will not go without a damn good fight.

I can't help with the ties. I like the knitting pure and simple patterns. I have made the children's neck down pullover for my youngest grandchild and am getting ready to start #244 the neck down hooded tunic for the oldest one. Judy

Actually, I think that with the edging, blocking is all you need to do. Try it, and see how it turns out. Then come back and tell us.
