Looking for 2x size poncho knitting pattern

Hi: I'm looking for a 2x--plus size poncho pattern for my Mom. She's an advanced knitter--and introduced me to knitting. So I'd like to help her. Any one know of one on the web?

Thanks in advance. Dorsey in VA

Start with a "standard" pattern and add rows/rounds as necessary to accomplish the required size?

Welcome to the newsgroup, Dorsey! :o)

For some reason I always thought that ponchos (except for child sizes and dolls, obviously) were one-size-fits-all. No? Of course considering that I have never made one, I wouldn't really know that. That is something that I

*really* hope to do for myself this time around (I didn't have one in the 70's) so I'm going to be reading over the poncho patterns to find the easiest, and quickest one to work on in the hopes that my hands and arms hold out while I'm working on it.

Have you searched google for poncho patterns? There are TONS of them out there.. I'm pretty sure there are both knitting ones as well as crochet.

I have a pattern for my knifty knitter group that knits 2 rectangles and sews them together. I suppose you could knit the two rectangles any way you'd like so long as you've got the dimensions. The pattern goes from toddler up to 1X. If you want to go bigger, just add a few inches.

E-mail me privately if you'd like the pattern.

Dorsey, Here's a link to a poncho generator, with various styles.
