Thanks, Sharon. I have on my to-do list making some Xmas place mats with fabric I bought about years ago (DH picked it out, so that gives you some idea), and I want to try a rolled edge instead of bias binding. I need lots of burgundy serger thread, wooly nylon would be even better.

I think I have some UFO's of that vintage......at least. lol I found some fabric the other day I got for DD to make her a skirt when she was in 1st grade. She graduates this year. Don't know that she would still like a purple skirt with unicorns on it. lol

I have a beautiful shirt-weight challis printed all over with French horns. Older DD picked it out in high school. She went to her 25th reunion two years ago. :-} Also, I have really cute half finished toddler outfits for DGS, now a college sophomore.

I am trying to make a serious dent in the UFOs, either get them done and donate them or just toss them.

It's SO hard to just toss them out isn't it? I finally did with a couple, but those were projects I'd started for myself and been unsatisfied with. I find it way easier to toss out something that had been intended for me. If it was for one of the kids, that's harder.

And you win (so far) in the category of Antique UFO. LOL We'll have to wait and see if anyone else has any more "seasoned" than yours.

I have such an overwhelming need to save stuff "just in case". comes from being reared by two folks who were young adults at the height of the Great Depression I suppose.

Well, I'm sure if someone comes up with a UFO older than 27 years, I can do some scrounging for something older yet.... ;-}
