Invisible thread

Hi;

I'm looking for a supplier for a heavier invisible thread (clear, not smokey). I will be doing a number of banners that will be hanging outside for a number of months and the customer wants invisible thread, as I will be making the hems through a few shades of green. I've bought the stuff that Tailorform has, as well as the Gutterman invisible thread, but I need a bulk quantity.

Does anyone know where I can get this, preferably in Canada?

Thanks Linda

Most invisible thread is nylon, and is not very UV resistant. Poly is another possibility, e.g.: Superior Threads MonoPoly:

than that, you could go to something like nylon monofilament incanisters or tubes:

-- I believeit's used in drapery workrooms, so try locally. I have my doubts it'lllast a number of months outside unscathed, however.Has the client looked at a sample of the hem through different colors,mounted as it's going to be? I wonder if the sheen of monofilament willbe more noticeable than just a plain grey sewing thread at "real viewingdistance"?
