Invisible thread

Does anyone have experience with invisible thread? Do you use it in both the top and bobbin? How about black cotton thread on the bottom and invisible thread on the top? I have been getting little red dots when I use red on the bottom and blue on the top.... will I get black dots on the top? The top I'm quilting has black, purple, orange, white and green squares in it. I will use black for the black, purple for the purple and want to use glow-in-the dark invisible thread for the green, white, orange fabric.



Advise please!

The last time I looked over 'glow in the dark' thread, the label said it would survive 2 or 3 washings. Not good enough. Wonder if they have something new and wonderful? I'll love to play with that. Wouldn't the little guys love it? Polly

I like some invisible threads, but never have seen any that was "glow in the dark invisible". Do have some glow in the dark but it is sort of white-ish in color. When I use invisible thread I use in mostly in the top, loosen the tension a lot... test on a sample sandwich, and loosen way up, tighten until you start to see dots on the top then loosen back a nudge. In fact that is the way I deal with any thread when there are different colors top and bottom.
